Antoine Griezmann was the star of the show as his double helped Atletico Madrid seal a 3-0 victory over Marseille in the Europa League final on Wednesday evening.

The France international struck in each half before Gabi found the net in the closing stages to secure Atletico’s third Europa League trophy in eight years.

Griezmann showed once again why he is one of the most in-demand forwards, and his double in Lyon could be his last goals for Atletico as a transfer could be on the cards this summer.

Barcelona are reportedly ready to pay Griezmann’s €100 million (£88m) release clause to make him their latest marquee signing.

And this comes after Manchester United narrowly missed out on signing the 27-year-old last summer.

United appeared on course to land the French attacker but the player decided to stay put out of loyalty to Atletico as the club were unable to sign a replacement due to their transfer ban.

But following his excellent performance in the Europa League final, United fans are demanding Jose Mourinho reignite his interest in Griezmann and have urged the club to make him their new No.10.
