Dow, S&P 500 Slip On Pelosi’s Taiwan Visit

Date:

U.S. and world shares wavered Tuesday on fears that U.S. Home Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s go to to Taiwan might heighten tensions between Beijing and Washington and add geopolitical danger to buyers’ already muted outlook.

The S&P 500 declined less than 0.1% in late-morning buying and selling. The Dow Jones Industrial Common dropped 0.45% whereas the technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite was up 0.2%.
