KYIV, Ukraine—Exports of grain from Ukraine’s southern ports have surpassed a million metric tons underneath a United Nations-brokered deal with Russia that has held up for practically one month at the same time as hostilities rage elsewhere within the nation.
Officers from Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, and the U.N. signed the grain agreement in July following months of diplomacy geared toward enabling the passage of ships by the Black Sea to alleviate a global hunger crisis.
