The U.S. Navy stopped an Iranian ship from seizing an American maritime drone within the Persian Gulf on Tuesday, in a contemporary confrontation that underscored the sharp tensions between Tehran and Washington, U.S. protection officers stated.
The episode started Monday evening when the U.S. Navy noticed an Iranian ship towing the Saildrone Explorer, an unmanned U.S. vessel geared up with digital camera, radars and sensors.
